The Cathedral

This is the Dome which was built in the 13th century. The interior is very special, including a wooden sculpture, from 1489, depicting Saint George and the Dragon. Located in between the Old town and the Riddarholmen.

Catherine, the church of (Katarina Kyrka)

Located on Södermalm, and was erected in accordance with the baroque style by the end of the 7th century. Unfortunately, there was a fire in the spring of 1990, destroying much of the church, but, the restorations have been meticulous. The church was reopened for services in May in 1995.

The German Church

The German church has its origin in the 14th century, it has ever since been re-built and enlarged. The latest improvement was in 1910. The style is late Gothic. Located in the Old Town.

Riddarholm church

This is a seven hundred year old monastery church comprising the tombs of the Swedish kings. Located on Riddarholmen.

The Skeppsholm Church (Skeppsholmskyrkan)

The Skeppsholm Church (Skeppsholmskyrkan) also known as the Church of Carl John, is an octagonal centre building, having the Pantheon in Rome (Italy) as a prototype. Located on Skeppsholmen.

The Synagogue

The Synagogue was erected 1861-1870 and has an oriental style, it is beautiful in its many rosary windows and colourful wood pieces. Located on Blasieholmen.
